If you're one of those self-hating PC owners or if you prefer the aesthetic sense of Mac's Leopard operating system distribution, LeopardXP is right up your alley. It's a collection of skins and general operating system tweaks that turn your PC into a reasonable facsimile of Mac OS Leopard.
The first thing you'll notice after installing LeopardXP is that it's far more than a simple set of icon swaps and desktop backgrounds. Your taskbar turns into a faithful recreation of the Leopard object bar, you get access to an application that works like Mac Spotlight, your file explorer is completely retooled and you get a new top-down application bar that hangs from the top of your screen.
With enough tweaking, you could perform all of these changes on your own with the exception of the object bar, which you could substitute with another third-party app, and the Spotlight application, which doesn't work nearly as well as its Mac OS counterpart. Still, LeopardXP performs all of the upgrades for you. It doesn't consume a ton of your system resources. It's extremely stable and didn't cause any performance issues during our testing.
If you don't like LeopardXP, you can easily uninstall it and go back to the standard Windows desktop. It's a clean little program with a shockingly small file size of only 41.4 megabytes. Mac fans who find themselves working on Windows computers will appreciate the attention to detail of this program, and while it's not exactly like running a Leopard computer, most Mac lovers will appreciate the visual upgrades.
